Yarn is a kind of textile, which is processed into a certain fineness product with various textile fibers. It is used for weaving, rope making, thread making, knitting and embroidery, etc. it can be divided into short fiber yarn, continuous filament yarn, etc.
There are many ways to express the fineness of yarn, such as number#1, metric Count#2; English number, denier number, etc. (see number). The twist of the yarn is expressed as the number of twists per meter or inch.
Wool yarn and wool are generally used to spin woolen sweater, trousers, vest, scarf, hat and gloves, and weave all kinds of clothing articles in spring and autumn. Besides keeping warm, they also have decorative functions.

1#(Number is also known as fixed length system, which refers to the weight (g) of unit length (1000m) yarn at a constant moisture regain, usually expressed as "tex".);
2#(Wool and hemp spinning industry used to express the measurement index of fiber and yarn thickness. The length (m) of a 1g weight fiber or yarn at a constant moisture regain. It is a non legal unit of measurement. The finer the fiber or yarn, the higher the metric number. The metric number of strands is expressed by dividing the metric number of single yarns that make up the strands by the number of strands, such as (50 / 2) metric, which means two 50 metric single yarns twisted in parallel. If the metric number of single yarn in the strand is different, the metric number of single yarn shall be paralleled, and the diagonal line shall be used to cut it, such as (24 / 28) male. 1000 times the reciprocal of metric number can be converted to "linear density" value)
